KTM is working on an electric Duke for urban traffic. It can be assumed that it will be technically based on the Husqvarna E-Pilen.

For and against electric

KTM boss Stefan Pierer had spoken at the beginning of the year that he did not see the future in electric mobility, but only when it comes to power ranges above 48 volts. So the announcement of a small electric Duke for urban traffic does not contradict his statement; on the contrary, Pierer Mobility (KTM, Husqvarna, GasGas) wants to become the market leader in the low-voltage range (up to 48 volts).

Same basis

It can be assumed that the E-Pilen and the upcoming electric Duke will use the same technical basis. This would mean that a power output of 10 kW or 13.6 PS, paired with a 5.5 kWh-hour battery could be used. The battery is to come from Varta and enable a range of around 100 km.
