The Honda Africa Twin is being recalled because the fuel filter could clog due to contamination in the tank. Loss of power and also a stalling of the engine would be possible.

The recall originates from the American area, but since motorcycles are usually produced in a factory for the worldwide market, other markets could also be affected.

The Honda CRF1100L Africa Twin Adventure Sports of the 2018 to 2020 model years is affected.

Welding work on the large fuel tank could produce zinc oxide particles that could later accumulate in the fuel filter and clog it.

Honda will notify affected owners. The recall is scheduled to begin Feb. 15th (in the Americas). The tank will be drained and cleaned in the workshop.
