Honda seems to be working on a comeback of the Hornet. At EICMA, they are showing a study that bears this name. In addition, they have also published a video on YouTube.
The well-known Hornet was available from 1998 to 2005 as a 600cc and 900cc four-cylinder. It was able to build up a large fan base, so some will certainly be excited about the concept, even though Honda isn’t really revealing much about it yet and also showing next to nothing.
If you look at the shape of the Hornet Concept, it reminds a bit of KTM’s Super Duke. Currently, there is speculation whether it could be equipped with a 2-cylinder and offered in the mid-range segment. A new Hornet would certainly fit in well there.
Honda, however, remains silent on the subject. Information will probably not be available until next year.
