Spain has made it compulsory for riders and passengers to wear suitable motorcycle gloves when riding a motorcycle.
In various countries around the world there are different regulations regarding protective equipment when riding a motorcycle. In most countries (not all) the wearing of a helmet is mandatory. The wearing of suitable motorcycle gloves has now, after France, also been made compulsory in Spain.
The new regulation is already in force and requires closed gloves (not finger cots) made of thick leather, synthetic leather, Kevlar or a similar material that demonstrates high resistance to heat and abrasion. Gloves made of wool, denim, fine leather or nylon are not permitted. Appropriate gloves must be worn by the rider and pillion passenger when riding.
