Sony and Honda have signed a joint venture agreement to establish Sony Honda Mobility Inc. The idea is to sell high-end electric vehicles and provide mobility services.
After announcing a memorandum of understanding for a joint alliance back in March, they have now signed the relevant agreements. The new company aims to bring together cutting-edge environmental and safety technologies, mobility development capabilities, vehicle body manufacturing technology and customer service management expertise from Honda with Sony’s expertise in the development and application of imaging, sensor, telecommunications, network and entertainment technologies to realize a new generation of mobility and mobility services that are closely aligned and constantly evolving with users and the environment.
