After the racetrack version was previously only available to participants of the special and specially launched motorcycle championship, the bike is now offered to everyone.

 

The RS 660 Trofeo is manufactured directly in the Aprilia racing department. Compared to the street version, the Trofeo has been upgraded once again and is said to take full advantage of the balance between chassis architecture, engine and electronics.

 

New electronics

The electrics got an update. The ignition lock was dropped, as was the ABS. The ABS ECU, however, was retained to take advantage of integrated systems capabilities.

The ECU was reprogrammed and equipped with a mapping that is intended exclusively for use on the racetrack. It was also optimally adjusted to the SC Project racing exhaust.

The color TFT dashboard was also reprogrammed. The switch unit with the racing buttons on the left handlebar stub was connected accordingly. The brakes are now directly connected to the master cylinder.

 

Other changes

The upside-down fork got a Misano by Adreani cartridge kit and is hydraulically adjustable in compression and rebound damping, as well as preload. At the rear, an Öhlins AP948 shock absorber is hydraulically adjustable for preload, compression and rebound damping. With the first tires one sets on Pirelli Supercorsa V3 SC1.

Adjustable footrests have been fitted for optimum ergonomics. The clip-on handlebar stubs are also adjustable.

 

Increased power

The engine produces 105 hp in the racing version, a record figure for an inline two-cylinder. The dry weight has dropped to 153 kg. The clutch cover and alternator have been fitted with aluminum protection.

Currently, the price is listed at 14,700 euros.
