Intellias is a Ukrainian technology company and develops various software solutions, including for the automotive industry. At CES, they have now presented a concept for a self-balancing motorcycle.
Autonomous steering and stabilization
In a video they show how the system could work. The balance of the motorcycle would be made possible at low speeds by autonomous control of the motorcycle. Sensors would monitor every movement of the motorcycle and correct deviations in the vertical axis through steering movements to stabilize the motorcycle.
The system could be very helpful for novice drivers who are overwhelmed, especially when driving very slowly or in stop-and-go traffic. It could also enable people with physical disabilities to enjoy the experience of riding a motorcycle.
Of course, a motorcycle must also have appropriate mechanical components so that the software can really intervene in the steering. However, various manufacturers are already working on corresponding or similar systems.
