Triumph is recalling the Speed Triple 1200 RR and RS of the model year 2022 because there could be problems with the bolts of the brake discs.

It would be possible for a bolt to come loose. They could fall out and damage other parts or even cause the rear wheel to block. Apparently, on the affected models, the threads of the bracket and the bolt do not match.

More detailed specification of the affected models:

  • Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RS – build date 02 February 2021 to 11 February 2022.
  • Triumph Speed Triple 1200 RR – build period 02 September 2021 to 08 February 2022.

The problem could be announced by noises in this area. The brake disc bolts are changed in the workshop.

The recall originates from the American area. However, since motorcycles are usually produced in a plant for the global market, other regions could also be affected.
