Already in September 2021 there was a recall because of a possibly incorrectly mounted cotter pin on the brakes of the models Husqvarna FE 350 and FE 501 (2022). Apparently, the problem still exists, but is now to be solved differently.

Brake pads could come loose

In September last year, it was said that the brake pads could come loose because a cotter pin was possibly mounted incorrectly. This was subsequently checked at the workshop and the cotter pin was fitted correctly.

Changed retaining clip

Now there is another recall because of the brakes (front and rear). There seems to have been a fundamental problem with the “R” retaining clip, as it has now been slightly modified and is being replaced in the workshop. The retaining mechanism of the clamp has since been modified.

The recall originates in the Americas, but since motorcycles are usually produced in a factory for the worldwide market, other markets could also be affected.
