Harley-Davidson is recalling the Pan America and Sportster S to the workshops because there could be problems with the display. A software error is to blame.

In the affected models, it would be possible that at a temperature below 0 degrees Celsius neither the speedometer nor the neutral display is shown. New software will be installed at the workshop.

Affected models and manufacturing period:

  • 2021 Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250S – between March 10, 2021 and October 19, 2021.
  • 2021 Harley-Davidson Pan America 1250 – between May 24, 2021 and October 12, 2021
  • 2021 Harley-Davidson Sportster S – between May 21, 2021 and December 3, 2021

Models manufactured after the mentioned dates are equipped with a different software, so you don’t have to expect this problem.

The recall originates from the American region. However, since motorcycles are usually manufactured in a plant for the global market, other markets could also be affected.
