Protests for underrun protection on crash barriers
With a provocative photo, the Italian motorcycle club Safety Bikers PR protests against the fact that crash barriers are still being mounted on the edges of roads without underrun protection.
The installation of an underrun protection would not cost much more, but bring a huge safety benefit for motorcyclists. Normal crash barriers can be life-threatening for bikers in the event of a fall.
In Germany, the non-profit GmbH MehrSi is committed to the installation of an underrun protection. They collect donations, draw the attention of authorities to problem areas and thus ensure that more and more crash barriers in corner areas are equipped with underride protection.
