More Information

Engine and performance: Advanced three-cylinder engine for greater dynamism

At the heart of the Brutale 950 Serie Oro is the new 931 cm³ EVO three-cylinder engine, which delivers a peak power output of 148 hp (109 kW) at 11,200 rpm. This means that the new model significantly outperforms both the Brutale 800 and the 801 Ottantesimo Edition. Maximum torque is 107 Nm at 8,400 rpm. 85 percent of the torque is already available at 3,500 rpm, which should enable powerful acceleration even from low revs.

Technical enhancements include a counter-rotating crankshaft, enlarged steel valves, redesigned combustion chambers, and friction-optimized components. According to MV Agusta, new oil and water cooling systems, DLC-coated valve carriers, and a newly designed slipper clutch with torque assist function are designed for durability and improved rideability. The ride-by-wire system with 50 mm throttle valve and top-feed injectors is designed to enable sensitive response.

Frame, geometry, and chassis: agility meets stability

For the Brutale 950 Serie Oro, MV Agusta has developed a completely new steel trellis frame, combined with a 30 mm longer aluminum single-sided swing arm. This design is intended to increase both torsional rigidity and agility. The wheelbase measures 1,433 mm, and the steering head angle has been opened up further for more neutral and precise handling.

The dry weight is 195 kg (approx. 430 lbs), which means that the new Brutale has a comparatively low weight despite its increased power. The seat height is 850 mm and the tank capacity is 16.5 liters. The seat has been widened by 20 mm at the front and 40 mm overall, and lengthened by 40 mm at the rear – with red Alcantara upholstery for greater comfort and exclusivity.

Components: Öhlins, Brembo, and Termignoni ex works

The chassis features a fully adjustable 43 mm Öhlins NIX 30 upside-down fork at the front and a fully adjustable Öhlins TTX 36 shock absorber at the rear. The braking system is from Brembo and consists of Hypure radial calipers with 320 mm double discs at the front and a 220 mm single disc at the rear.

An exclusive Termignoni titanium slip-on solution was developed for the exhaust system. The 17-inch forged wheels are fitted with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV sports tires and feature the design of the 2011 F3 Serie Oro.

Electronics and equipment: Modern assistance systems and connectivity

For the first time, MV Agusta has integrated a new IMU from e-Novia into the electronics package, enabling numerous driver assistance systems. These include traction control, cornering ABS, launch control, front lift control, and various riding modes (“Rain,” “Urban,” “Sport,” “Race,” “Custom”), which can be controlled via the 5-inch TFT display and new controls. There is also a ride app connection, GPS tracking with geofencing, emergency SMS, and anti-theft protection.

A quickshifter (up/down) and cruise control are available for sporty use. The lighting is LED all round, and the headlight features matrix technology with cornering light function.

Exclusivity and design: limited edition and details

The Brutale 950 Serie Oro is available in “Pearl Shock Red/Ago Silver” and bears an individual serial number. Carbon fiber components and many exclusive details underline the special status of this model. A basic version is to follow immediately after the market launch of the limited series – without carbon, Öhlins suspension, and Hypure brakes.
