On June 6, 2023 Kawasaki USA plans to introduce a whole 16 new vehicles.  It's clear that it won't just be motorcycles, but it should be a substantial number, the Kawasaki homepage suggests.

Countdown to the big unveiling

A visit to the official Kawasaki USA website currently reveals a countdown to the big vehicle unveiling.  It also shows a number of vehicle silhouettes.  Street and off-road motorcycles as well as at least one UTV (Utility Task Vehicle) definitely seem to be in the mix.  Not all 16 silhouettes will be shown, though, so it’s hard to gauge what all is on the announcement list.

Kawasaki USA’s social media presence

Kawasaki has also posted more hints on its YouTube and Facebook pages.  YouTube features a video subtitled “6/6/2013 – Your Supersport Obsession Begins,” along with the standard Kawasaki hashtags #GoodTimes and #Kawasaki.  You can see two motorcyclists on a race track, or actually just their helmets and part of their backs, the rest is covered.  The seating position and the sound, however, suggest a super-sporty motorcycle, which fits the racetrack accordingly.

There are additional teaser images on Facebook.  One shows a close-up of a single, plain round instrument with the signature “Just Ride. 6.6.23” and the same two hashtags.  The second image shows a close-up of the right front corner of a UTV with headlights on and a black powder-coated protective frame slightly obscuring the lights.  The accompanying text reads, “Get ready to make a difference. A brand new STRONG workmate is coming 6/6-23,” followed by the same two hashtags.

Anticipation for the new models

What bikes can we expect to see from Team Green on July 6, 2023?  One hot candidate seems to be the Kawasaki Eliminator 450.  Kawasaki first unveiled the Eliminator 400 in Japan back in March 2023, closely followed by the presentation of the same model at the Bangkok Motor Show.  Then, in April 2023, a Kawasaki Eliminator 450 with slightly larger displacement showed up in filed documents for the California Air Resources Board, which was a strong indication that this model would appear on the American market sooner or later.

The supersport machine hinted at by Kawasaki in the only video teaser released so far could be a revised Ninja ZX-6R and/or RR.

What else will be presented remains open, as does the question of which of the models could possibly also come to Europe.
