Some time ago, Harley-Davidson announced that they wanted to build smaller-sized motorcycles for the Asian and Indian markets. A suitable partner was searched and may now have been found.

Hero MotoCorp is not well known in Europe, but one of the largest two-wheeler manufacturers in India. Pawan Munjal, Chairman of Hero, has mentioned to the Times of India that they are ready to partner with Harley.

So far there have been no negotiations or even contact between the companies, although cooperation could be positive for both sides.

Last year, Harley-Davidson partnered with the chinese motorcycle manufacturer Qianjang, which belongs to Benelli. The first joint motorcycle will be presented in June.

It is still open whether negotiations will be held with Hero in order to gain a better foothold in the Indian market.
