Harley-Davidson has launched a recall for the Sportster of the model years 2021-2022, it would be possible that a faulty sticker was applied.

The sticker on the brake master cylinder with the DOT4 notice could come off. This would allow for faulty maintenance, which could cause a safety hazard over time. The sticker apparently does not have the necessary or permanent adhesive performance. Harley-Davidson will send a new sticker to affected owners, along with instructions on how to inspect the old sticker and how to apply the new sticker.

However, there is also the possibility of contacting an appropriate workshop in this regard.

The following models are affected:

  • 2021 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight – production period between August 23, 2021 and February 03, 2022.
  • 2022 Harley-Davidson Forty-Eight: 725 – production period between August 23, 2021 and February 03, 2022
  • 2021 Harley-Davidson Iron 883: 1,233 – Production period between August 23, 2021 and January 23, 2022
  • 2022 Harley-Davidson Iron 883: 1.635 – production period between August 23, 2021 and January 23, 2022
  • 2021 Harley-Davidson Iron 1200: 168- production period between August 23, 2021 and October 21, 2021.

The recall originates from the American region. However, since motorcycles are usually produced in one plant for the global market, other regions could also be affected.
