At the press conference last week, Claudio Domenicali (CEO Ducati) mentioned two scrambler models that have the potential to go into production. An ADV motorcycle (Adventure) and a Supermoto.
Ducati Desert X
The ADV motorcycle is the Ducati Desert X. It is more retro styled and powered by an air-cooled 1,079cc V-Twin. The engine reaches 63 kW (86 PS – 84 hp).
The front wheel has a diameter of 21 inches, the rear wheel 18 inches. The area behind the solo seat is designed for luggage.
In addition to a large tank in the usual place is also one at the rear, which suggests a fairly high range. The headlights use LED technology.
Ducati Scrambler Motard
The Supermoto bears the name Ducati Scrambler Motard and stands front and rear on 17 inch wheels. The exhaust was led high up. The fender in front was cut. It looks like the chassis of the Desert Sled was used.
The Scrambler Motard is powered by an air-cooled 800cc V-Twin with 54 kW (73 PS – 72 hp). Delayed is with a brake disc on the front.
Whether the two models are built depends on the reactions of the visitors on the Eicma. The two models will be shown there for the first time. So far, there are only the drawings.
