For almost three years now, Harley-Davidson, together with Qianjiang, has been working on a small-volume motorcycle. Type approval documents now reveal more details about the baby Harley, which should be unveiled shortly.

Harley-Davidson 338R is coming

According to documents filed with the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, the bike’s name will likely be “Harley-Davidson 338R.” The name is somewhat deceiving, however, as a 353cc liquid-cooled parallel twin with fuel injection is expected to provide propulsion.

As it stands, two models will be offered, one with ABS and one without.

With the application for the VIN number for the American market, the upcoming Harley-Davidson 338R has cleared another hurdle to market launch. From when it will be in the showrooms, is of course currently not yet known, but the documents that have appeared on the Internet suggest an imminent presentation. In addition, a first alleged picture of the 338R has already appeared on the Internet in 2021, on which the machine is to be seen in its finished state.
