Development under new management: personal commitment from TVS
The development of the new superbike is taking place under the umbrella of the Indian TVS Motor Company, whose portfolio Norton has been part of since the takeover. Particularly noteworthy: TVS CEO Sudarshan Venu has been personally involved in the development and even completed a private test on British soil. According to the company, this test drive provided valuable first-hand feedback that was passed on to Norton CTO Brian Gillen and the central development team. The final tuning of the model thus benefits directly from the expertise of the parent company.
Design and technology: Advanced front end, new light signature
Norton is currently holding back on detailed technical information about the new superbike model. However, it is already apparent that the front end of the machine has been completely redesigned. In contrast to its predecessor, the V4SV, the next generation is significantly more aggressive and modern. Particularly striking are the redesigned LED headlights with distinctive daytime running lights (DRL), which give the motorcycle a unique and determined character. According to Norton, the aerodynamics and design have been significantly improved. The rest of the fairing remains under wraps for now, but the design of the front suggests that the dynamic appearance will be consistent throughout the entire vehicle.
Positioning: Flagship with high standards
Norton is positioning the new V4 superbike as its flagship and speaks of “the highest standards in technology, design, attention to detail, and driving dynamics.” After the turbulence of the past, the brand is working to regain its reputation in the premium segment. With the personal involvement of TVS management and extensive development work under the leadership of Brian Gillen, the new model is set to become a milestone for the brand.
Outlook: Unveiling at EICMA 2025
Further technical data, information on performance (kW, hp, rpm), torque (Nm), weight (kg, lbs), and equipment have not yet been officially released. The full presentation of the new superbike is expected at EICMA 2025 in Milan. Industry observers and the trade press anticipate a comprehensively redesigned model that will clearly set itself apart from its predecessor.
