At the official presentation of the Petronas SRT MotoGP Team, Valentino Rossi and Franco Morbidelli showed up in their new outfits.
In addition to the two riders, the motorcycles were also shown for the first time in the new colors. Although Rossi has switched to the Yamaha satellite team, he still has full factory support in his 22nd season. That means his bike is also the latest version, which is also ridden in the Yamaha factory team. Morbidelli, however, has to settle for a slightly older machine.
Morbidelli must also be kept in mind for 2021, however, because he was already racing for the title in 2020 with the later world champion, Joan Mir. Morbidelli was the most successful Yamaha rider in 2020.
Like last year, Rossi is still leaving himself open to adding another season. However, he does not want to decide until the middle of the season whether he will also compete next year. It will depend on how competitive he will be and whether he still enjoys riding.
