The two KTM models will be given a few minor updates for 2021 and have also been upgraded for Euro5.
KTM 690 SMC R
The 690 SMC R is a very good example of KTM’s philosophy; aggressive, sporty as well as extreme and still easy to handle. Just like the KTM 690 Enduro R, it is equipped with a new ABS module that allows adjustments to be made via the new dashboard while riding.
The Brembo brakes have also been revised. An M 4.32 brake calliper and a 320mm brake disc at the front are installed. A 240mm disc is fitted at the rear. With the new components a new level of deceleration is to be achieved and therefore more control and more feedback.
The design of the SMC R 690 has also been revised to make it even more exciting. A clear and modern look, which is to represent the status of KTM’s latest interpretation of the Supermoto idea, was the basic idea.
In order to meet the Euro5 standard, the model was fitted with a new catalytic converter.
KTM 690 Enduro R
On the KTM 690 Enduro R, the riding modes that can be controlled via a switch on the handlebars have been refined. The “Street” driving mode now activates the 2-channel ABS on the front and rear wheel. The “Offroad mode” deactivates the ABS on the rear wheel to achieve a better braking feel when off-road. The ABS itself has been given a new modulator, with which the braking force can be better controlled. This also allows the ABS to be reactivated while driving.
A switch on the new dashboard allows you to deactivate the ABS and switch to off-road mode. The dashboard has been supplemented with a speed indicator and a gear indicator.
In addition, the KTM 690 Enduro R for the year 2021 comes in new graphics and colours.
