The Italian motorcycle manufacturer MV Agusta wants to increase its presence on the market and already has concrete plans.
MV Agusta primarily produces exclusive, but also expensive motorcycles. With the introduction of the Rosso in 2019, there was also a cheaper entry-level model (in terms of price).
The Cagiva brand is to be brought back in 2021, but then as a manufacturer of electric motorcycles.
MV Agusta has also partnered with the Chinese company Loncin. Together they want to build motorcycles with a smaller cubic capacity. Timur Sardarov, CEO of MV Agusta, considers the 350cc segment to be very important. He also believes that apart from the KTM Duke there is nothing else exciting in this segment. MV Agusta wants to fill this gap and manufacture corresponding motorcycles in Asia.
They want to build a 350cc twin that will provide propulsion in naked, touring, sport and scrambler models.
At the moment, work is also being done on the Turismo Veloce, an adventure motorcycle that is more geared towards touring.
The engine range is also to be expanded to include a 950cc engine. MV Agusta currently has a 675cc triple, a 798cc triple and a 1,000cc inline four-cylinder in the range.
