MotoGP riders Maverick Vinales and Alex Marquez would have to do without their crew chiefs in the pit lane for the season opener, the two are in quarantine.
The reason for the isolation are incidents during the Corona tests, which MotoGP conducts regularly. For example, the test on Esteban Garcia, crew chief of Maverick Vinales, did not give a clear result. For safety’s sake, he had to go into quarantine. Presumably, the testing was only poorly executed, as the second test, which was conducted on Wednesday, was negative.
