LiveWire is not only Harley-Davidson’s first electric motorcycle, it is now an independent brand that belongs to Harley. With the Del Mar, they want to follow up with a second electric model this summer.
Mid-range motorcycle based on Arrow
During a conference call that was actually about fourth quarter 2021 results, CEO Jochen Zeitz mentioned that we can expect the S2 (Del Mar) sometime in the second quarter of 2022.
The Del Mar is an electric motorcycle that is in the mid-range. It uses the Arrow platform, where the battery is used as a supporting part to save weight.
The Del Mar is said to be the first model in the S2 series, a range that describes models in a class below the LiveWire ONE. Later, S3 models are also to follow, which will again be a class below and are to be created in collaboration with Kymco.
