At the Intermot in Cologne, Horex presented a new edition of the Regina, equipped with modern technology. The classy 600cc single-cylinder motorcycle also got a carbon fiber chassis.
The original Regina used to be Horex’s most important motorcycle and is also their most recognizable bike.
In the new model, a single-cylinder with four valves and two overhead camshafts provides propulsion. It is cooled by a modern water cooling system. The engine has an output of 48 PS (35 kW) and would therefore actually be suitable for the European A2 driving license. However, the Regina Evo would have to weigh at least 175 kg, but the dry weight is only 133 kg.
This is achieved, among other things, by a carbon monocoque frame, the single seat configuration and many parts made of carbon fiber. Braking is with dual disc brakes and two-piston calipers at the front. The fork and shock absorber are adjustable in preload. The tire dimensions are 18 inches.
Equipment
The lighting uses LED technology all around, and the headlights have a cornering light function. The ABS intervenes depending on the lean angle. Anti-slip control is offered as an option. The price has not yet been announced.
