Honda is about to open a new chapter.  The focus is on the creation of an adventure bike that has been specially designed to take on the famous Royal Enfield Himalayan.  This news will set motorcycle enthusiasts' hearts racing, as it is the first time Honda has ventured into the territory of beginner-friendly adventure motorcycles.

Design and inspiration: a homage with its own touch

Honda is relying on the proven CB350 platform for this project.  The first glimpses of the design reveal a certain inspiration from the Royal Enfield Himalayan, although Honda does not deny its own stamp.  Although the overall silhouette shows similarities, the final product images could still hold surprises in store.

The patent application for the front fairing of the motorcycle is also interesting.  This not only aesthetically pleasing component offers additional protection, especially for the headlight unit, and also integrates practical holders for storage solutions.

Performance and reliability: Honda relies on the tried and tested

In terms of the drivetrain, Honda remains true to its roots and has chosen the same 350cc, air-cooled engine for the new adventure bike that already powers the CB350.  This engine is characterized by an output of approximately 20.7 hp (15.3 kW, 20.4 hp) at 5,500 rpm and a torque of 29.4 Nm at 3,000 rpm.  While the power figures are designed for reliability rather than high performance, the fine-tuning and gear ratios could be adapted specifically for the adventure bike.

Versatility and adaptability: ready for any adventure

In addition to the Adventure version, Honda is also planning a Scrambler variant.  Both models share the same tank and rear design, but differ in the front fairing and other details.  This diversity underlines Honda’s ambition to appeal to a wide range of motorcyclists, from adventure seekers to lovers of retro style.

Market entry and global plans: A bike for the world

Although specific launch dates for these new Honda models are not yet known, a market launch is expected by 2025 at the latest.  Based on the successful CB series, the new adventure bike will be manufactured in India and will be available in selected international markets.  This indicates that Honda has a global target group in mind and is ready to explore new horizons with this versatile bike.

Conclusion: An exciting new addition to the segment

With Honda’s planned entry into the entry-level adventure bike market and direct competition with the Royal Enfield Himalayan, we are in for an exciting time.  This bike promises to offer an interesting mix of reliability, versatility and a touch of adventure.  Motorcycle fans worldwide can look forward to seeing how Honda’s latest project develops and what mark it will set in the growing adventure bike segment.
