On May 11, the Harley-Davidson Germany racing team will compete in the second round of the German Endurance Cup (DLC), a 4-hour race at the Nürburgring.  They will enter the race with a selection of specially adapted motorcycles.

Team and technology: experience meets high performance

The team, led by André Jäger, consists of the experienced riders Thilo Günther, Andreas Schäfer, Yves Grund and Christoph Lietsch.  They will compete in the Superbike class, which is reserved for motorcycles with two and three-cylinder engines over 1,000 cm³ and a minimum power output of 90 hp at the rear wheel.

The racing bikes: From the road to the race track

The “Lap Record” and “Plan B” project bikes, which are based on the Harley-Davidson Sportster S and Pan America 1250 models, have been specially modified for racing.  Also in the race are “Lil Baggy” and “From Road to Race”, which are based on the Road Glide ST.  The conversions were carried out by Harley-Davidson Rhein-Neckar and Harley-Davidson Düsseldorf, in cooperation with Dr. Jekill & Mr. Hyde.  They are supported by a number of sponsors, including the Dutch exhaust specialist and Thunderbike Harley-Davidson Niederrhein, Wilbers Products, Metzeler and Don Performance, while Parts Europe acts as a supporter.
