Honda Fastport eQuad: New micromobility for the last mile

Honda is expanding its mobility portfolio with the founding of the new B2B company Fastport. The aim is to overcome the challenges of urban logistics in the so-called “last mile” with innovative micromobility solutions. At Eurobike 2025 in Frankfurt am Main (June 25 to 29), Fastport will present the fully electric eQuad, a four-wheeled vehicle for emission-free deliveries, for the first time.

eQuad: Compact technology for dense urban traffic

The Fastport eQuad was designed specifically for use in urban areas and is approved for use on bike paths. The fully electric drive is based on replaceable Honda Mobile Power Pack (MPP) batteries. With a top speed of 20 km/h, the vehicle is aimed at logistics companies that want to operate their delivery fleets in an environmentally friendly and efficient manner.

The range of the large model is up to 37 kilometers under maximum payload. The smaller version is currently still in the testing phase, with final range data to follow at a later date.

Modular design with a focus on versatility

The eQuad is available in two sizes:

  • Large model: 3.65 m long, 2.1 m high, 1.2 m wide, maximum payload 295 kg
  • Small model: 3.4 m long, 2.1 m high, 1.0 m wide, maximum payload 145 kg

The vehicle is complemented by two loading box variants, each with a different volume. Thanks to its modular design, the eQuad can be flexibly adapted to various applications – from parcel services and food deliveries to courier trips.

Technology for comfort and safety

The vehicle is powered by a newly developed pedal-by-wire system. Additional features such as a regenerative braking system, automatic parking brakes, a UV-protected soft top with optional ceramic tinting, and interior ventilation ensure comfort and safety. The windshield is fully designed, and the chassis promises a smooth ride even on uneven roads.

Fleet-as-a-Service: Fastport’s digital ecosystem

The eQuad is part of a holistic offering model called “Fleet-as-a-Service” (FaaS). Companies not only receive vehicles, but also access to a digital ecosystem with interchangeable batteries, charging containers, maintenance services, and AI-supported dashboards. These provide real-time fleet and driver data for optimized management.

Fastport promises continuous improvement of vehicle functions and seamless connectivity with cloud services through over-the-air updates. Initial pilot projects with major logistics providers in Europe and North America are already in the works.

Production at the Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC)

The eQuad is manufactured at the Honda Performance Manufacturing Center (PMC) in Ohio, USA. The facility specializes in small series production and brings experience from the production of the Acura NSX and other special models. This expertise makes it the ideal location for the manufacture of complex micro-mobility vehicles.

Origins in the Honda Innovation Lab

Fastport was created as part of the Honda New Business Innovation Lab in California. Here, an interdisciplinary team of engineers, designers, and researchers work together on solutions for urban mobility. The founding of Fastport marks Honda’s entry into the micro-mobility market in Europe and North America. The first vehicles are scheduled to be delivered at the end of 2025, with series production planned to start in summer 2026.

Fastport at Eurobike 2025

Interested parties can experience the eQuad and other Fastport solutions live at Eurobike 2025 (June 25 to 29) in Hall 8, Booth F16. Appointments can be made by email.
