MotoGP – Dutch TT

Assen is the only track that has hosted the World Motorcycle Championship every year since it was built in 1949. The track was to be built in 1955 for the Dutch TT, although earlier events were held on public roads. The track is narrow with rapid changes of direction and is completely surrounded by grass and bleachers that provide excellent views of the hundreds of thousands of fanatical spectators who every year make a new pilgrimage to the largest Dutch motorsport event. Not only the drivers like the track, Assen is also known for its good atmosphere and extravagant atmosphere. In 1999 the circuit was equipped with a new grandstand, a control tower, a press center and refurbished boxes. In the winter of 2005/2006, the route was changed and the longest route was shortened over 6 kilometers to 4,555km / 2.83 miles.
