Both machines are available in strictly limited, numbered series and set new standards in terms of sportiness, lightweight construction, and technical sophistication within their respective model ranges. Both models are based on the Desmosedici Stradale V4 engine derived from MotoGP, which is designed to offer an unmistakable riding experience thanks to its desmodromic valve control, typical twin-pulse ignition offset, and linear power delivery.
Diavel V4 RS – The fastest production Ducati ever
The Diavel series has always been synonymous with brutal acceleration. With the new Diavel V4 RS, Ducati has now gone one better: in a test ride conducted by Marc Márquez, the bike accelerated from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.52 seconds – a new record for a street-legal Ducati.
At its heart is the 1,103 cm³ Desmosedici Stradale V4, which delivers a peak power output of 182 hp (133.8 kW) at 11,750 rpm and a maximum torque of 120 Nm at 9,500 rpm. Maximum traction is ensured by a counter-rotating crankshaft derived from racing. The dry weight has been reduced by 3 kg thanks to numerous carbon elements and a lithium-ion battery, without losing the typical Diavel character. The total weight is now noticeably closer to the dragster class, without compromising on comfort or equipment.
Other technical highlights include:
- Fully adjustable Öhlins suspension
- 17-inch forged wheels with Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires
- Brembo Stylema braking system with 330 mm double discs at the front
- Color-coordinated RS paintwork with specific logo and serial number
- 5-inch TFT display with specific start-up animation
- Carbon components such as fenders, air intakes, seat cover, and tank fairing
- Three power mappings (High, Medium, Low) and four riding modes (Race, Sport, Touring, Wet)
Multistrada V4 RS – Touring meets supersport technology
Following the successful debut of the first Multistrada V4 RS in 2023, Ducati is stepping up its game: the new Multistrada V4 RS combines sporty genes with touring comfort and is aimed at riders who demand uncompromising performance on long journeys.
This model is also powered by the 1,103 cm³ Desmosedici Stradale V4, which delivers 180 hp (132.4 kW) and a maximum torque of 120 Nm. The combination of a dry clutch, Akrapovič rear silencer, a lightweight titanium rear frame, and forged Marchesini wheels ensures high driving dynamics. According to Ducati, the new Multistrada V4 RS is the sportiest touring bike ever developed in Borgo Panigale.
An advanced electronics package is used for vehicle control, including the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) – a system derived from MotoGP that simulates over 70 virtual sensors to enable more precise tuning of the driver assistance systems.
Features at a glance:
- Semi-active Öhlins Smart EC 2.0 suspension
- Front and rear radar with adaptive cruise control and blind spot assist
- ABS Cornering with new front-to-rear braking strategy
- Titanium rear frame with adapted structure for top case mounting
- 6.5-inch TFT color display with specific RS layout
- 5 riding modes: Race, Sport, Touring, Urban, Wet
- Four power modes: Full, High, Medium, Low
- Extensive connectivity via Ducati Connect
- Lithium-ion battery and forged 17-inch wheels
- Weight reduction of 2 kg compared to the Multistrada V4 Pikes Peak
The Multistrada V4 RS will also be produced in a numbered series. The exclusive number is engraved on a black anodized aluminum plaque on the upper triple clamp together with the Italian flag. The start screen of the TFT display shows a custom animation when switched on.
Availability and warranty
The market launch in Europe will be staggered: the Multistrada V4 RS will go on sale in November 2025, followed by the Diavel V4 RS in December 2025. The US will be supplied in January 2026, with other markets following thereafter.
As with all Multistrada models, Ducati also offers the “4Ever Multistrada” warranty with a four-year term and unlimited mileage – valid throughout Europe at all official Ducati dealers.
Conclusion
With the Diavel V4 RS and the Multistrada V4 RS, Ducati is redefining two well-known series: the Diavel as the brand’s most powerful acceleration machine and the Multistrada as the sportiest touring motorcycle in the portfolio. Both models are aimed at a discerning audience that appreciates exclusive technology, high-quality materials, and precise riding dynamics. In doing so, Ducati remains true to its principle of consistently transferring racing technology to the series – with maximum attention to detail.
