BMW R 1300 GS Dark Edition
The R 1300 GS Dark Edition is based on the latest generation of the travel enduro introduced in 2023. It comes in the black “Triple Black” color scheme and is additionally equipped with black cross-spoke wheels. The standard equipment of the special edition includes the Comfort Package, which comprises, among other things, an electrically adjustable windshield, a passenger comfort kit, and the center stand.
The machine is powered by the familiar two-cylinder boxer engine with 145 hp (106.6 kW) and a maximum torque of 149 Nm. The total weight is around 240 kg (529 lbs). Despite the additional equipment, the technology remains unchanged from the base model.
The price in France is €19,900 (approx. $21,600) – a price advantage of €2,745 over the regular equipment. In addition, leasing without a down payment is offered from €249 (around $270) per month.
BMW F 900 GS Dark Edition
The F 900 GS Dark Edition is a mid-range adventure bike and is painted in “Black Storm Metallic.” It comes with the Dynamic Package, which includes the extended Pro riding modes and the Pro Shift Assistant, among other features.
It is powered by an 895 cc inline twin-cylinder engine with 105 hp (77.2 kW) and 92 Nm of torque. It weighs around 220 kg (485 lbs). Here, too, the technical basis remains unchanged, with the focus on special equipment and appearance.
The price in France is €12,500 (approx. $13,600), which represents a saving of €2,575 compared to the regular equipment. A leasing offer with no down payment starts at €149 (approx. $160) per month.
Availability
Both Dark Editions will be available exclusively in September 2025 at BMW Motorrad dealers in France. Whether these special models will also be available in other markets at a later date has not yet been confirmed.
