Voice control can be very helpful and a real relief in many areas. The Italian manufacturer of electric motorcycles, Energica, sees potential in this technology and is working on a voice control system that they want to integrate into their electric motorcycles.
Cooperation with industry giants
Energica is working on the project, which includes artificial intelligence, in collaboration with Cellularline, a leading provider of smartphone accessories, and Alascom, a telecommunications company. The jointly developed system is designed to synchronize Cellularline’s interphone products and Alascom’s cell phone app to establish communication between motorcycle and rider.
“Artificial intelligence is a fast-growing trend, especially in rider-vehicle interaction,” said Energica Motor Company CTO Giampiero Testoni. “We have been innovating in this area for years as well, in order to offer our customers a state-of-the-art product that is both useful and responsive. Thanks to this innovative communication protocol, drivers can easily access information about their vehicles without distractions. We relied on industry leaders such as Cellularline and Alascom to develop this project.”
Making adjustments faster and safer
In the future, it could become unnecessary to work through a menu to make a setting on the motorcycle. The implementation as a voice command, for example, to change the traction control or similar, could be implemented much faster and above all it would also be a safety gain, because you do not have to look at the display to know what you are doing…
