Super-N Prototype: Compact electric runabout with BOOST mode
With the Super-N Prototype, Honda is introducing a new compact electric vehicle that, according to the manufacturer, is designed to provide exceptional driving pleasure. A key feature is the new “BOOST mode,” which not only increases the available power but also simulates gear changes, enabling a more dynamic driving experience. The model is set to be launched in Japan and selected global markets such as the UK from 2026. There are currently no plans to launch it in other European countries. However, the market success of the Super-N Prototype should help the company to better assess the needs and wishes of customers in the small electric vehicle segment.
EV Outlier Concept: A glimpse of the motorcycle of tomorrow
In the two-wheel sector, Honda’s EV Outlier Concept offers a glimpse of the next generation of motorcycles from 2030 onwards. The concept motorcycle takes advantage of the design freedom offered by electric drive: front and rear wheel hub motors enable a flatter, more dynamic design that clearly sets it apart from conventional models.
Alongside the EV Outlier Concept, Honda is unveiling the e-MTB Prototype, which was developed specifically for off-road use. The carbon frame ensures low weight (specifications in kg and lbs are not currently available), while the electric assistance is intended to be particularly advantageous on inclines. According to the manufacturer, the model combines the strengths of a motorcycle and a mountain bike to enrich the riding experience in nature. The market launch of the e-MTB Prototype in Europe is planned for 2026.
Innovative mobility on water, in the air, and in space
Honda is not only showcasing developments on land at the trade fair. With a sustainable rocket, which is scheduled to be successfully launched and landed in Hokkaido, Japan, in June 2025, the company is demonstrating the breadth of its technologies in the field of autonomous driving and aviation. The rocket is designed for multiple use with reduced environmental impact.
Other trade fair highlights: From Acura to HondaJet
Honda is also making its mark in the automotive sector. The Acura RSX Prototype is the brand’s latest all-electric model and is the first to use both the new Honda EV platform and the ASIMO OS vehicle operating system. The new 0 series will also be presented, including the 0 SUV “a” (alpha), which will be offered primarily in Japan and India. The exhibition will be complemented by prototypes of the Honda 0 SUV, Honda 0 Saloon, and the new Prelude e:HEV models.
The two-wheeler portfolio will be represented by a selection of current motorcycles. Other exhibits from Honda’s wide range include the HondaJet, which according to the manufacturer is the world’s best-selling light business jet, and the BF350 outboard motor – the company’s first V8 engine.
Corporate philosophy and outlook
The entire brand presentation is based on the slogan “The Power of Dreams, How We Move You.” Honda emphasizes its commitment to continuing to take on new challenges in the future in order to help people around the world realize their dreams. President and CEO Toshihiro Mibe emphasizes: “Honda has always been wholeheartedly committed to realizing our own dreams and those of our customers. We will continue to take on new challenges and work toward a future in which our products will continue to be the force that moves our customers.”
