More Information

Technical highlights of Beyond helmets

Both models, Beyond GTS and Beyond GT, are equipped with numerous features that were previously only available as separate retrofit solutions. The range of features includes 53 mm speakers, a comprehensive communication system, active noise cancellation (ANC), and a removable battery. The helmets are ECE R22.06 and DOT certified.

Housing materials and equipment differences

The Beyond GTS is the top model in the series and features a lightweight carbon fiber composite shell. The Beyond GT is slightly less expensive and features a fiberglass shell. Both helmets were developed in collaboration with the Austrian design studio Kiska, which also works for KTM and Husqvarna, among others. The shape is designed for an intermediate oval head and is available in four and six helmet shell sizes, respectively.

Speakers and noise cancellation

Both models are equipped with 53 mm speakers developed by Cardo Sound Labs specifically for use in helmets. The GTS version offers active noise cancellation (ANC) as standard, which, according to the manufacturer, specifically reduces wind and engine noise, thus preventing fatigue and hearing damage on long journeys. In the GT, the ANC feature can be activated as an option at an additional cost. The technology is designed to filter out disruptive low-frequency noises while relevant traffic noises such as sirens or horns remain audible.

Communication and comfort features

The latest generation of the Cardo Packtalk Pro with Dynamic Mesh Communication (DMC) is integrated, enabling group communication with up to 31 riders. According to the manufacturer, the range is up to 2 km. In addition, there is Bluetooth connectivity, voice control, automatic switching on and off, and over-the-air software updates. Operation is via a one-click interface and a freely configurable button on the helmet shell, which can be programmed via the Cardo Connect app.

Safety features and “Helmet Health Monitoring”

Both models feature an integrated “Helmet Health Monitoring System.” Built-in sensors monitor vibrations and notify the user when the helmet should be replaced after several impacts. In addition, there is a double D-ring closure made of titanium, emergency cheek pads, and an antibacterial, removable inner lining. The Beyond GTS also features an active brake light in the rear head area and LEDs on the front, while the GT has a reflective strip for better visibility.

Ventilation, visibility, and battery

Ventilation is provided by a three-stage RAM top ventilation system, an active ventilation system in the forehead area, and a passive outlet at the rear. Both models offer an integrated sun visor and a wide field of vision with a 210-degree field of view. The Beyond GTS comes with a Pinlock 200 inner visor, while the GT comes with a Pinlock 120XLT anti-fog visor.

The battery capacity is 2,000 mAh for the GTS and 1,000 mAh for the GT. Both batteries are replaceable and removable, and the GTS also supports wireless charging. The battery life is specified as approximately 13 hours in full operation. According to Cardo, the technical modules can also be upgraded and replaced if necessary. The warranty is five years, three years for the electronics and two years for the battery (EU).

Weight, price, and market launch

Due to their extensive technology, the helmets weigh slightly more than comparable models: according to the manufacturer, the Beyond GTS weighs 1,870 g (equivalent to approximately 4.12 lbs), while the GT weighs 1,875 g (around 4.13 lbs). This puts them slightly above the level of competitors such as the Shoei Neotec 3 with integrated communication system.

The market launch is scheduled for summer 2026. The price for the Beyond GTS is €1,199 (approx. $1,199), while the Beyond GT costs €949 (approx. $949).

Conclusion

With the Beyond GTS and GT models, Cardo is breaking new ground and integrating numerous communication and comfort features into a motorcycle helmet for the first time ex works. Active noise cancellation and health monitoring are particular focal points. Practical tests will show whether the investment is worthwhile for touring riders and how well the new technology actually works in everyday use.
