Harley-Davidson is affected by a very large recall because there could be problems with the brake light.  It would be possible for the brake light to illuminate even if the brake is not applied at all.

The fault occurs due to a software problem and affects a wide variety of Harley models built between 2019 and 2022.

The following models could be affected:

– Trike and CVO Trike of the model years 2019 – 2022 / construction period 07/06/2018 – 07/23/2022.

– Touring and CVO Touring of the model years 2020 – 2022 / construction period 07/02/2019 – 07/23/2022

Models manufactured on or after 07/24/2022 should not be affected by the problem, as they should be equipped with a new pressure switch and also have the software calibration update.

Workshops will upgrade the models affected by the recall accordingly.

The recall originated in the Americas.  However, since motorcycles are usually manufactured in a plant for worldwide sales, other markets could also be affected.
