At the Bonneville Motorcycle Speed Trials 2026, Canadian rider Liane Langlois reached 235.526 km/h (146.349 mph) with her sidecar outfit based on a Triumph Rocket III Roadster. That is around 16 km/h more than her record from the previous year, and the reason lies mainly in a change to the bodywork.
A 26-year-old motorcyclist died on the B154 at Lake Mondsee in July 2026 because he had to swerve around a car pulling out of a parking bay. Although the two vehicles never touched, the car driver drove on and is still being sought today.
