Yamaha MT 07 Grand Prix de France 3 1

Special model for the home race: Yamaha MT-07 Grand Prix de France Edition

To mark the 2025 French Grand Prix, Yamaha Motor France has unveiled a special model tailored to the domestic market. The Yamaha MT-07 Grand Prix de France Edition Exclusive has been created especially for French MotoGP fans, featuring eye-catching blue, white, and red paintwork. Technically, the bike remains unchanged, but it offers a number of special features in terms of appearance and price.

Tribute to Quartararo’s Le Mans appearance

The design of the special edition is inspired by Fabio Quartararo’s appearance at the French MotoGP race in Le Mans. His YZR-M1 competed there with dynamic tricolor graphics—a style that is now reflected on the MT-07. The graphics adorn the tank, fairing, and side panels in bold blue, red, and white. In addition to the color scheme, Yamaha France has also added some extra accessories to the special model.

Features: More than just looks

The Grand Prix de France Edition’s additional features include a front spoiler with a special mount and a short license plate holder, which give the MT-07 a sportier look. The complete conversion package – including installation of the decoration kit – is estimated to take around four hours.

Yamaha estimates the value of the extras installed at around €870 (approx. $950). If this amount is offset against the surcharge for the edition, buyers in France benefit from a calculated advantage of around €570 (approx. $620).

Price and availability

The Yamaha MT-07 Grand Prix de France Edition Exclusive has been available exclusively from Yamaha dealers in France since September 1, 2025. The manufacturer has not specified an exact number of units, but the offer is valid “while stocks last.”

Prices at a glance:

  • MT-07 Grand Prix de France (manual transmission): €8,299 (approx. $8,950)
  • MT-07 Grand Prix de France with Y-AMT (automatic transmission): €8,799 (approx. $9,500)

In comparison, the regular MT-07 currently costs €7,999 (approx. $8,620) in France.

No technical changes – proven basis

Technically, the special model remains unchanged. The Yamaha MT-07 is still based on the familiar 689 cc parallel twin engine, which delivers 73 hp (53.7 kW) at 8,750 rpm. Maximum torque is 67 Nm, and the weight with a full tank is 183 kg (approx. 403 lbs). The 14-liter fuel tank also remains unchanged.

Conclusion: National special model with racing flair

The Yamaha MT-07 Grand Prix de France Edition Exclusive is not only intended to commemorate an important MotoGP weekend, but also to strengthen brand loyalty in the French market. The combination of exclusive design, subtle accessories, and an easily calculable price advantage is likely to appeal primarily to national fans and collectors. However, the edition will not be officially available outside France.
