Voge RR 660 S: New sports bike for 2025 with powerful four-cylinder engine

The Chinese brand Voge, which operates under the umbrella of Loncin, a well-known partner of BMW, is expanding its motorcycle portfolio for 2025 with the introduction of the Voge RR 660 S.  With a four-cylinder engine and 100 hp, this model offers sporty performance and technical refinements that make it an interesting candidate for the international market.

Presentation and development: a long road to series production

At a dealer conference in early 2023, Voge hinted at the development of several new models, including a sports model that was initially announced as the “660 Infinity”.  The model attracted attention at the time with a four-cylinder engine and was later presented in September 2023 under the name RR 666 S as a near-production concept.  A striking feature was the single-sided rear swing arm, which made the design appear particularly sporty.

Voge ultimately decided to develop the motorcycle further and launched the final version on the market in 2024 as the Voge RR 660 S with a more conventional two-sided rear swing arm.  The Voge RR 660 S thus marked the manufacturer’s entry into the league of high-performance mid-range sports bikes.

Engine and performance: four-cylinder with 100 hp

At the heart of the new model is the 663 cm³ in-line four-cylinder engine.  This produces 100 hp (74 kW) at 11,500 rpm and delivers a maximum torque of 64 Nm at 10,000 rpm.  Voge states that the engine can develop even more power at high speeds thanks to ram-air technology.

This engine is an important step for Voge, as it not only represents the brand’s first engine with more than two cylinders, but also represents a major in-house development.  While Chinese manufacturers often rely on copies of proven engine concepts, the Voge engine is said to have been developed independently and is said to be more compact and lighter than comparable units such as the Honda 650 inline four-cylinder.

Riding characteristics and speed: up to 235 km/h

According to Voge, the RR 660 S should be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.5 seconds.  The top speed is given as 235 km/h, which puts the model at the top end of its class.  The six-speed gearbox has a quickshift function that facilitates fast upshifts and is optimized for a sportier driving style.  Particularly interesting: first gear is said to extend beyond 100 km/h, which could be useful for sprinting from a standstill.

Technology and assistance systems: modern features for more control

The Voge RR 660 S also offers modern technology when it comes to assistance systems.  The equipment includes lean angle-dependent assistance systems such as ABS and traction control.  These systems are designed to enable precise control when cornering and increase the level of safety.  The cockpit has a color display that shows important information such as tilt angle, acceleration and possibly lap times – particularly interesting for sporty riders.

Equipment: Comfort thanks to variable seat height and silencer control

Another highlight of the RR 660 S is the three-way adjustable seat height.  Depending on the rider’s preference and height, the seat height can be adjusted to 780, 810 or 830 millimetres, allowing flexible adaptation to different requirements.  Another special feature is the flap control of the 4-in-1 exhaust system, which can change the sound of the engine via the steering switch – either loud for sporty use or quiet for city traffic.

Suspension and brakes: Brembo and Kayaba ensure stability

The chassis of the Voge RR 660 S is equipped with components from the Japanese manufacturer Kayaba (KYB), including an upside-down telescopic fork and an adjustable suspension strut.  Voge relies on high-quality Brembo components for the brakes.  The double disc brake at the front, equipped with radially bolted four-piston brake callipers, ensures a reliable braking effect in combination with ABS.

The frame material remains unclear.  There is speculation that the motorcycle may have a steel frame, which is suggested by the total weight of 215 kilograms.  However, the weight could also include or exclude the 15-liter petrol tank, which makes an exact assessment more difficult.

Price and market launch: first China, then Europe?

The Voge RR 660 S has been available in China since September 2024.  The price is 37,666 yuan, which corresponds to around 4,800 euros or 5,150 US dollars.  This places the model in an attractive price segment for a sporty mid-range sports bike.  It remains to be seen if and when the model will come to Europe.  Voge has already established a European dealer network, which could indicate that it will soon be entering the market.  In addition, a version with a single-sided rear swingarm, as originally presented, could appear in the future.

Conclusion

The Voge RR 660 S is an exciting model in the mid-range sports bike scene.  With its powerful four-cylinder engine, modern assistance systems and a comparatively low price, it offers an attractive option for sporty riders.  Whether it can establish itself on the European market remains to be seen, but the technical data and features certainly make it an interesting newcomer to the segment.
