Chassis update with Showa and Öhlins components
A key aspect of the model update concerns the chassis: fully adjustable 47 mm upside-down forks from Showa are now fitted at the front. Fully adjustable twin shock absorbers from Öhlins with piggyback reservoirs and double springs are also used at the rear. Both suspension elements offer 250 mm of travel.
This is intended not only to further improve off-road capabilities, but also to provide greater control and comfort on the road. Handling is supported by a long aluminum swing arm and the Scrambler-specific frame geometry.
High-quality braking system and electronics
Deceleration is provided by a powerful braking system with radially mounted Brembo Stylema M4.30 monoblock calipers and 320 mm double discs at the front. At the rear, a single 255 mm brake disc works with a Nissin single-piston floating caliper.
Standard equipment also includes optimized cornering ABS and traction control, which can be completely deactivated – especially in “Off-Road Pro” mode.
Well-known twin-cylinder engine with character
The Scrambler 1200 XE will continue to be powered in 2026 by the 1200 cc “High Power” Bonneville twin with 270° crankpin offset and special Scrambler mapping. Peak power is 90 hp (66.2 kW) at 7,300 rpm. The maximum torque of 110 Nm is already available at 4,500 rpm.
Power is transmitted via a six-speed gearbox in conjunction with a torque-assisted clutch. According to the manufacturer, a 50 mm throttle opening improves gas permeability. The characteristic twin-pipe high exhaust system made of brushed stainless steel has been retained.
Six riding modes including “Off-Road Pro”
Thanks to ride-by-wire technology, six riding modes are available: Road, Rain, Sport, Off-Road, an individually configurable mode, and the exclusive “Off-Road Pro” mode. The latter completely deactivates ABS and traction control for ambitious off-road riding.
A cruise control system with one-button operation makes longer tours easier. The full-color TFT display offers two design themes, three layout options, and automatic brightness adjustment. The start screen can also be personalized.
Connectivity and operation
The switches are illuminated and can be operated via a five-way joystick. The Scrambler is also prepared for the MyTriumph connectivity system, which enables calls, music, and navigation via the TFT display. A USB charging port under the seat supplies external devices.
Classic Scrambler design with new colors
Triumph has only made subtle changes to the design. The silhouette with 21-inch front wheel, flat seat profile, and aluminum tank remains unchanged. Details such as a Monza fuel cap, brushed aluminum trim, and a robust engine guard underline the high-quality look.
New for 2026 are two color options with eye-catching “XE” lettering and gold accents:
- Matt Khaki Green & Matt Crystal White
- Silver Ice & Phantom Black
The previous Sapphire Black color option remains in the range.
Accessories and customization
Over 70 genuine accessories are available for the Scrambler 1200 XE, including luggage solutions such as leather side bags, tall windscreens, and off-road upgrades. All parts have been developed specifically for the vehicle and are covered by a factory warranty.
Maintenance, availability, and price
The Scrambler 1200 XE offers a maintenance interval of 16,000 km (10,000 miles) or 12 months.
Deliveries will begin in December 2025. Orders can already be placed. In the UK, the starting price is £13,895, which is equivalent to approximately €16,200 or $17,200 (as of October 2025, excluding country-specific taxes).
A digital reservation system will be introduced in Europe in spring 2026.
