Classic design meets modern details
The 2026 model update retains the characteristic style of the Bonneville: the distinctive, deep-shaped metal tank with classic rubber pads, Triumph tank emblems, and handcrafted trim lines remains unchanged. The look is complemented by new paint finishes and a revised graphic style on the side covers, which frame the Bonneville lettering in silver or gold.
The color palette offers several options for each model. For the T100, for example, “Snowdonia White/Sapphire Black” and “Jet Black/Diablo Red” with gold trim are available, or alternatively “Stone Grey” as a modern variant. The T120 comes in “Aegean Blue/New England White” or “Aluminum Silver/Cranberry Red” with black trim, as well as “Stone Grey.” In addition to classic Jet Black, the T120 Black offers a new “Matt Silver Ice/Matt Sapphire Black” – each combined with dark engine and exhaust elements and a brown seat.
New technology: greater safety and comfort
For the first time, all three models feature the new lean-angle-dependent Optimized Cornering ABS and traction control, controlled by a modern Inertial Measurement Unit (IMU). This system constantly analyzes lean angle and riding behavior in order to optimally adapt the intervention of the electronics to the riding situation – for greater safety without changing the classic character.
All models now offer two riding modes (Road and Rain) ex works, which adapt throttle response and traction control to the respective surface. A powerful LED headlight in a traditional round headlight design with distinctive daytime running lights improves visibility. The instruments combine analog gauges with multifunctional LCD displays and show range, gear, and riding mode, among other things. There is a USB-C port under the cockpit for charging mobile devices.
Cruise control is standard on the T120 and T120 Black and is available as an accessory for the T100. This increases long-distance comfort, especially on the highway.
Engines: Classic twin with torque
The T120 and T120 Black continue to feature the 1200 cc “high torque” parallel twin with a 270-degree crankshaft. It delivers 80 hp (58.8 kW) at 6,550 rpm and develops a maximum torque of 105 Nm at 3,500 rpm. The characteristic sound and spontaneous response characterize the riding experience. The T100 features the 900 cc Bonneville twin with 65 hp (47.8 kW) at 7,000 rpm and 80 Nm of torque at 3,750 rpm.
All models comply with the Euro 5+ standard and, according to the manufacturer, offer low emissions and good fuel economy. The T120 models have a 6-speed transmission, while the T100 has five gears. A torque-assisted clutch reduces the amount of hand force required.
Chassis and brakes
The chassis consists of a classic steel tube frame with high-quality KYB suspension (41 mm cartridge fork at the front, twin shocks at the rear with adjustable spring preload). The seat height is 790 mm on all models.
The T120 variants are equipped with two Ø 310 mm brake discs at the front with Brembo 2-piston floating calipers, while the T100 has a single disc at the front with a Nissin 2-piston floating caliper. A 255 mm disc with Nissin brake is used at the rear. Michelin Road Classic tires on spoked wheels (18 inches at the front, 17 inches at the rear) provide grip and authentic design.
The weight when fully fueled is 233 kg (513.7 lbs) – identical for all three models.
A2 kit and extensive accessories
An important step for beginners: in addition to the T100, the A2 restrictor kit is now also available for the T120 and T120 Black, making all three models accessible to A2 license holders throughout Europe. The kit is installed by the dealer and can be removed later.
The potential for customization remains enormous: over 100 Triumph accessories are available – from tank bags and other seats to protective bars, various emblems, and much more. Those who customize their Bonneville ex-factory receive the same warranty on accessories as on the motorcycle itself.
Service, prices, and availability
With a maintenance interval of 16,000 km (10,000 miles) or twelve months and a two-year warranty with unlimited mileage, Triumph aims to ensure low operating costs. The market launch is planned for February 2026, and the models are available to order now.
Prices in the UK start at £9,695 (approximately €11,400 / $12,000) for the T100 and £12,195 (approximately €14,350 / $15,100) for the T120 and T120 Black. The market launch and prices for other countries will be announced locally.
Conclusion
With the 2026 versions of the Bonneville T100, T120, and T120 Black, Triumph is continuing its legendary Modern Classic concept with subtle modernization: traditional design, new technology, and a broader target audience focus thanks to the A2 kit and a wide range of customization options—these are the key innovations for the coming model year.
