Suzuki appears to be expanding its range of sporty mid-range tourers. New documents submitted to the California Air Resources Board (CARB) indicate that two new models, the GSX-8T and GSX-8TT, will be launched with the proven 776 cc parallel twin engine.
Suzuki is noticeably refreshing the GSX-S950 for the 2025 model year. The sporty naked bike has been given a new 5-inch TFT LCD color display with a comprehensive display and better readability, now meets the Euro 5 Plus emissions standard and comes in two new, eye-catching color variants. This means that the machine not only remains technically up to date, but also sets fresh visual accents.
Suzuki Motorcycle India (SMI) has started construction of a new motorcycle factory in Kharkhoda in northern India. The ceremonial laying of the foundation stone in the Haryana region marked the first symbolic step for an ambitious project: From 2027, up to 750,000 motorcycles are to roll off the production line there every year. This is Suzuki's response to the steadily increasing demand in the world's second-largest motorcycle market.
Suzuki is reportedly pushing forward with the development of a Variable Valve Timing (VVT) system for its small-capacity motorcycles. Recently surfaced patent documents reveal that the Japanese manufacturer is working on a VVT system tailored for its 249cc single-cylinder engine – the one currently powering the V-Strom 250 and GSX-250R.
