MotoE – new details about the electric class within MotoGP

As reported, in addition to Moto2, Moto3 and MotoGP starting in 2019, the MotoE, a class with electric motorcycles, will start at the motor racing world championship weekend. Meanwhile, there are a few more details:

Previous information about the electric class within the MotoGP

• Start of the class is 2019
• So far 11 teams confirmed
• MotoGP racing teams send two pilots each (who is still open)
• Moto2 or Moto3 racing teams send one pilot at a time (who is still open)
• Friday scheduled two 30-minute workouts
• Saturday qualifying – the “e-poles”
• Sunday’s races after the warm-ups of Moto2, Moto3 and MotoGP
• First test in late November in Jerez
• Michelin standard tires in just one mix
• Four front and five rear tires per weekend and driver
• Three or four rain tires
