METZELER presents new tire models for 2026 at EICMA 2025

At EICMA 2025 in Milan, tire manufacturer METZELER will present three new motorcycle tires that will be added to its product portfolio starting in the 2026 season. The two supersport models SPORTEC 01 and SPORTEC 01 RS will be presented, as well as the enduro tire KAROO 4 Street. The new products will be on display from November 4 to 9, 2025, at the METZELER booth in Hall 5, Booth i54.

Supersport: SPORTEC 01 and SPORTEC 01 RS

METZELER’s SPORTEC product line is being expanded to include the SPORTEC 01 and SPORTEC 01 RS models. Both tires are designed for sporty use on the road. The SPORTEC 01 is the successor to the previous SPORTEC M9 RR. According to the manufacturer, it is designed for changing road conditions, including wet and dry surfaces. Compared to the SPORTEC 01 RS, the SPORTEC 01 is said to offer higher mileage and better wet weather performance.

The SPORTEC 01 RS is positioned as a sportier version of the SPORTEC 01. The tire is street legal and, according to the manufacturer, is primarily intended for sport-oriented drivers who occasionally participate in track days. METZELER emphasizes that the SPORTEC 01 RS is suitable for both road use and driving on the racetrack. This means that there is no need to change tires for the journey to or from the racetrack.

Both tire models feature DYNATREAD™ technology. This was first used on the ROADTEC 02 model and is designed to improve the adaptability of the tread pattern and contribute to more stable handling at higher speeds.

Enduro: KAROO 4 Street

METZELER is introducing the KAROO 4 Street for adventure and enduro motorcycles. The tire is designed for combined use on the road and light terrain, with METZELER stating that the usage profile is approximately 70 percent on the road and 30 percent off-road. The KAROO 4 Street is intended as the successor to the KAROO Street.

According to the manufacturer, the new model’s features include improved handling on the road compared to its predecessor. This is to be achieved, among other things, by new tread contours and a modified tread block arrangement. According to the company, noise levels while riding have been reduced thanks to a multi-pitch design. Improved traction on soft surfaces is also mentioned.

Market launch

The three new models are scheduled to go on sale in the first few months of 2026. According to METZELER, the availability of individual variants and sizes will depend on the respective region and will be implemented gradually.
