As reported, Marc Marquez had to undergo a third operation because the fracture he suffered in a fall in Jerez did not heal properly.
The eight-hour operation went without complications. However, Marc Marquez still has to stay in the hospital, as the samples taken during the pseudarthrosis surgery proved a previous infection in the fracture.
Marc Marquez must be treated with specific antibiotics over the next few weeks.
Whether he will be fit and able to compete again by the start of the season is still open.
