The Harley-Davidson LiveWire is Harley’s first electric motorcycle. As has now been announced, however, “LiveWire” is to become its own brand in the future. The planned Harley-Davidson electric bikes are to be sold under this name.
From July 2021, new models are to be developed, built and sold under the LiveWire branding. The first motorcycle of the new brand is to be seen as early as July 09 at the International Motorcycle Show in Irvine. So far, however, it is still unclear what might be presented. Harley had already shown sketches of several models, but also a well-known LiveWire, which has a few upgrades, would be possible.
Like other manufacturers, the “LiveWire” brand would like to focus on urban traffic first, as the conversion from gasoline-powered city runabouts to electric bikes seems easiest here. A long range and charging times are not so important here, as the bikes are usually only used for short trips in urban traffic, for example to work.
