KTM 450 Rally Replica 2026 – The uncompromising rally bike from Mattighofen

The KTM 450 Rally Replica 2026 represents the latest state of development in the rally-raid segment.  Built on the basis of over two decades of Dakar experience and success, it is by far the closest motorcycle to the factory race bike.  Developed and produced in Austria, it is limited to 150 units - supplemented by five extremely exclusive Sanders Edition models.

Proven technology with direct factory reference

At the heart of the Rally Replica is a 449.3 cm³ single-cylinder four-stroke engine with a 95 mm bore and 63.4 mm stroke.  According to empirical values, the power output is around 63 hp (46 kW) at around 9,500 rpm.  The torque should be around 48 Nm.  Electronic fuel injection, a six-speed gearbox and a hydraulically actuated multi-disc clutch in an oil bath ensure precise power delivery.  The engine is cooled by a double liquid cooling system, while two oil pumps take care of internal lubrication.  The compression ratio is 12.6:1.

Chassis and suspension: taken directly from racing

The frame is welded by hand and consists of laser-cut and hydroformed steel tubes.  A forged aluminum swing arm completes the design.  The self-supporting plastic tank at the rear also serves as a load-bearing element.

The WP PRO COMPONENTS suspension with 48 mm WP XACT PRO 7548 Cone Valve fork at the front (304 mm travel) and a fully adjustable WP XACT PRO 7750 rear shock (280 mm travel) has been designed for maximum comfort and control on long stages.  The front fork is fixed with CNC-machined triple clamps with 23 mm offset and is equipped with the PHDS system and a SCOTTS steering damper.

Range and ergonomics for long-distance racing

The fuel system consists of three tanks – two at the front, one at the rear – with a total capacity of around 34.5 liters.  This results in a considerable range for stages through the desert or rough terrain.  The seating position, the aerodynamically optimized windshield and the carbon navigation tower with integrated roadbook holder and LED headlights have been developed over many years together with rally professionals.

Exclusive Sanders Edition with special extras

Only five examples of the KTM 450 Rally Replica Sanders Edition will be built worldwide.  They feature a Factory Red Bull paint finish, signed race number stickers from Daniel Sanders, a Selle Dalla Valle special seat and many other specially manufactured components – including Factory rims with Michelin racing tires, carbon chain sliders and titanium footrests.  In addition, buyers will receive a signed jersey and an invitation to the KTM Europe Adventure Rally 2025 in Romania, including personal handover by Daniel Sanders and on-site factory support.

Availability and ordering

The KTM 450 Rally Replica 2026 and the limited Sanders Edition are only available from authorized KTM dealers.  Early reservation is recommended due to the small quantities.  Both models are genuine customer racing vehicles and are assembled directly at the motorsport factory in Mattighofen – a privilege otherwise reserved for factory riders.
