The Super Hooligan Concept from Krämer Motorcycles: a naked bike that pushes the boundaries

In December 2023, Krämer Motorcycles, a Bavarian manufacturer of small-series motorcycles, unveiled a groundbreaking creation: the Super Hooligan Concept.  Known for its focus on racing bikes, Krämer is entering naked bike territory for the first time with this concept.

Krämer Super Hooligan Concept – A masterpiece from Bavaria

The Super Hooligan Concept, based on the Krämer GP2-890R and equipped with a KTM engine, is a prime example of engineering and design.  With its weight of just 140 kilograms (approx. 308.6 pounds), it sets new standards in terms of lightweight construction.  The 890 KTM engine delivers an impressive 130 hp (approx. 96 kW), with a torque of around 101.9 Nm.

Aesthetics and performance in perfection

Visually, the Super Hooligan Concept differs significantly from its predecessors.  Instead of the usual full fairing, it impresses with its “naked” aesthetics.  A wide tubular handlebar replaces the deep steering stubs, and the chassis includes titanium and carbon components.  The black color scheme with a cream-colored tubular frame made of chrome-molybdenum steel underlines the unique design.

Technological innovations

The bike is characterized by high-quality components, such as the fully adjustable suspension components from WP Suspension, brake components from Brembo and forged aluminium wheels from Dymag.  A special feature is the self-supporting solo rear end made of polyethylene foam with an integrated 16-liter tank.

Collaboration with Bagoros Performance

The Super Hooligan Concept was realized in an exciting collaboration with Bagoros Performance and the Slovenian stunt rider Rok Bagoros.  This partnership raises hopes for the possible commercial availability of the concept parts.

Racing and road approval – a challenge

The Krämer Super Hooligan Concept is closely linked to the Super Hooligan National Championship, a relatively young racing series in the USA.  Krämer Motorcycles was inspired by the characteristic features of this series and developed the Super Hooligan Concept, a motorcycle that reflects the essence of this racing series.

Despite the great enthusiasm, Krämer faces challenges when the Super Hooligan Concept competes in the Super Hooligan National Championship in the USA.  With a weight below the prescribed minimum weights, Krämer would have to make adjustments to comply with the regulations.

Future prospects

Similar to previous Krämer models, the Super Hooligan Concept could appear in a small series, possibly as early as 2024. However, the bike in its radical, sporty form is likely to remain without road approval for the time being.  Should a road version follow, modifications to the silencer, ABS and lighting would be necessary.

Conclusion

The Super Hooligan Concept from Krämer Motorcycles is not only a technical masterpiece, but also a symbol of innovation and courage in motorcycle construction.  With its combination of lightness, performance and aesthetics, it sets new standards in the naked bike segment and arouses enthusiasm worldwide.
