Technical details at a glance

The CVO Pan America stands out with its special paintwork and presents itself with a length of 2,345 mm and a width of 1,095 mm.  Fitted with Michelin® Scorcher® “Adventure” tires, the motorcycle is equipped for a wide range of riding environments.

The Revolution Max 1250 V-Twin engine takes center stage.  It continues to deliver 152 hp (112 kW, 150 hp) at 8750 rpm and offers a torque of 129 Nm.  The torque has increased slightly, but the expected increase in performance has unfortunately not materialized.

The CVO Pan America has a semi-active chassis with electronic adjustment and a dynamic ground clearance of 180 mm.  The combination of a caster of 108 mm and a steering head angle of 25 degrees is aimed at balanced handling.

Additional equipment features

The motorcycle is equipped with various features, including cross-spoke wheels with tubeless tires, a touchscreen display, various riding modes and an adaptive cornering light.  It also offers an aluminum luggage set and LED auxiliary headlights.  The special color scheme is exclusive to the CVO Pan America, the other equipment was also offered before (partly optional).

Comparison: Harley-Davidson CVO Pan America vs. Pan America standard model

Design and dimensions:

With a length of 2,345 mm and a width of 1,095 mm, the CVO Pan America is slightly larger than the standard model, which has a length of 2,270 mm.

The ground clearance of the CVO version is 180 mm, while the standard model offers a higher ground clearance of 210 mm.

Engine and performance:

Both models are equipped with the Revolution Max 1250 engine, which delivers an output of 150 hp (112 kW) at 8750 rpm and a torque of 129 Nm at 6750 rpm for the CVO model and 128 Nm for the standard model.  If Harley has not made a mistake in the specifications here, then the torque has increased slightly.

Chassis and handling:

The CVO Pan America features an electronically adjustable semi-active suspension with Adaptive Ride Height, while the standard model offers an upside-down fork with adjustable spring preload and damping.

Weight and capacity:

The weight of the CVO Pan America is 299 kg when ready to ride, compared to 245 kg for the standard model.  Unfortunately, the reason for this additional weight is not specified.

The tank capacity of both models is the same at 21.2 liters.

Additional equipment:

The CVO Pan America offers exclusive accessories such as cross-spoke wheels with tubeless tires, an aluminium luggage set and additional LED headlights, which are not included as standard on the standard model.

In summary, the CVO Pan America offers a range of premium features and exclusive accessories that go beyond the standard model, which will also be reflected in the higher price.  However, both models share the same powerful engine and similar basic specifications.
