New technology for greater safety and comfort
One of the most important innovations in the 2026 model is the advanced electronics. Ducati has equipped the Multistrada V4 Rally with the advanced Adaptive Ducati Skyhook Suspension (DSS) EVO chassis, which now has over 200 mm of suspension travel at the front and rear wheels. The semi-active Marzocchi suspension continuously adapts to the road conditions and the individual riding style. The “Automatic Lowering Device” lowers the motorcycle at low speeds – an advantage when maneuvering or standing still. The seat height is 870 mm as standard, which is 30 mm higher than the standard model, providing more ground clearance, especially off-road.
The chassis uses the Ducati Vehicle Observer (DVO) algorithm to detect and analyze both load and riding style and automatically makes adjustments. The “Autoleveling” function ensures that the bike is always optimally balanced – with or without luggage, with or without a passenger.
Advanced braking system
Safety-related systems have also been further improved. The new Electronic Combined Braking System ensures that braking forces are distributed between the front and rear wheels depending on the situation. The rear brake disc has been enlarged to 280 mm for the 2026 version and is now 6 mm thick. New strategies that also allow targeted control of the front brake when the foot brake is applied are part of the comprehensive electronics package. Radar systems for adaptive cruise control, blind spot detection, and forward collision warning complete the safety package.
Stronger wind protection and optimized ergonomics
Visually, the Multistrada V4 Rally 2026 stands out not only with its new green paintwork, but also with changes to the bodywork. A 40 mm wider and 20 mm higher windshield and additional deflectors provide improved wind and weather protection and reduce engine heat for the rider and passenger. New mounting points for panniers and top case increase passenger comfort.
Engine with cylinder deactivation and long maintenance intervals
The heart of the Multistrada V4 Rally continues to be the 1,158 cm³ Granturismo V4 engine. It delivers 170 hp (125 kW) at 10,750 rpm. Maximum torque is 125 Nm (92 lb-ft) at 8,750 rpm. To reduce fuel consumption and emissions, the rear cylinder bank can now be deactivated not only when stationary, but also while riding. The maintenance intervals for valve clearance are 60,000 km (37,282 miles), and oil changes are required every 15,000 km (9,320 miles) or every 24 months.
According to the manufacturer, the 30-liter fuel tank provides a range of around 450 kilometers (280 miles). The exact weight is not available, but based on previous models, it is expected to be around 260 kg (573 lbs).
Comfort and technical features for traveling
The focus of the model is on maximum comfort. The newly designed seat, adjustable handlebar and seat heating, an updated 6.5-inch TFT instrument unit with Ducati Connect app, navigation function, and an optimized center stand for easy jacking up are all standard features. Other features include hands-free start, five riding modes (Sport, Touring, Urban, Enduro, Wet), Ducati Quick Shift (DQS) 2.0, and numerous assistance systems such as Wheelie Control, Traction Control, and Engine Brake Control.
Three equipment lines and new accessory solutions
The Multistrada V4 Rally 2026 is available in three equipment variants:
- Radar: Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind Spot Detection, Forward Collision Warning
- Adventure Travel & Radar: Plus aluminum cases, heated seats
- Full Adventure: Additionally Akrapovic rear silencer, carbon front fender
The range is complemented by an extensive range of accessories, ranging from various seats and variable windshields to aluminum side cases, which can now be opened and closed without a key.
