Record: Longest series of constructors’ titles in MotoGP
With its sixth consecutive constructors’ title, Ducati has set a new record in MotoGP. No other brand has ever achieved such a long series of consecutive successes in the constructors’ championship. This is the seventh title in the Italian manufacturer’s history, the first of which dates back to 2007.
Since the 2020 season, Ducati has increasingly dominated the premier class. The Desmosedici GP models have since come to represent the technical expertise and passion for which Ducati is known worldwide.
27 victories in 29 races – consistency at the highest level
The results of the current season underscore this dominance: in 29 races (including sprints and Grand Prix), Ducati has recorded 27 victories. Both the factory team and customer teams such as Gresini Racing have impressed with strong performances and regular podium finishes.
These successes are the result of a close integration of technical development and riding skill. The Desmosedici GP project is continuously evolving – without compromise. Ducati sees the racetrack as a central development environment where new technologies are tested and then transferred to production models.
Domenicali: “This goes beyond sporting success”
Claudio Domenicali, CEO of Ducati, summed up the title win: “Six consecutive constructors’ titles – something that seemed unthinkable just a few years ago. It is the result of method, vision, and determination. This success goes far beyond the sporting arena. It shows how we work as a company and what we stand for. The same commitment we show in racing is reflected in the development of our production motorcycles.”
Domenicali expressly thanked Chief Technical Officer Gigi Dall’Igna, the riders, and all the team members at Ducati Corse, the Ducati Lenovo Team, and Gresini Racing: “Together, we are able to transform experience, passion, and talent into tangible results. Our strength lies in consistency. Winning once is difficult, repeating it is even more difficult—and making it look like second nature is a discipline in itself.”
Technology transfer from the racetrack to the road
For Ducati, motorsport is much more than just competition. Rather, MotoGP serves as a testing ground for new technologies that are subsequently incorporated into production vehicles. Winning the constructors’ championship is therefore not only considered a sporting milestone, but also a confirmation of the company’s technical philosophy.
