At the Daytona Bike Week Buell exhibited the two new models SuperTouring and Baja DR. They are said to be the most powerful machines in their respective classes.
Buell Baja DR
The Baja DR is said to be the fastest production dirtbike in the world. It is based on Buell’s Hillclimb racing machine and is equipped with the somewhat modified 72-degree V-twin. However, the standard Buell engine produces “only” 175 PS in the Baja DR.
The Hillclimb roots can still be clearly seen in the long rim stand, which can also be adjusted. 1,676 mm to 1,778 mm are available for adjustment. The seat height is specified with 940 mm.
With a payment of 25 USD one can already pre-order the Buell Baja DR. The price starts at 19,995 USD. Delivery is scheduled for 2023.
Buell SuperTouring
Details of the SuperTouring Buell has not yet revealed, the 1190 cc V-twin in here, however, also perform the 185 PS, as in the in-house superbike “Hammerhead 1190”.
The appearance of the SuperTouring is very unique and has something of an adventure bike, even if it is not intended for off-road. Typical for Buell, the brake disc was mounted on the rim.
The tank, side panels and front fender are said to be made of carbon, which saves weight. The motorcycle is still a prototype, but you can already pre-order the bike for a deposit of 25 USD on the Buell homepage. The retail price is stated as “starting at 21,995 USD.” In 2023, they should then be delivered.
